by Athena | Feb 01, 2012
Athena was awarded CC EAL4+ certification for its IDPass ePassport chip according to Protection Profiles for BAC and EAC.

The IDPass ePassport is implemented on a high performance chip which is by itself certified CC EAL6+ and supports both RSA (with key length of up to 4096 bits) and Elliptic Curve Cryptography – ECDSA (with key length of up to 521) and ECDH with key length of up to 256 bits), SHA-1, SHA-224 and SHA-256, answering the needs of the most demanding customers.

IDPass provides unsurpassed ePassport reading performance while maintaining interoperability and security.

IDPass conforms to the latest ICAO Technical Reports including support for Supplemental Access Control (SAC) and provides a certified Active Authentication (AA) mechanism for enhanced security.

The Common Criteria certification process ensures that the IDPass ePassport passed all known physical and logical attacks with a high level of resistance.

The IDPass is available today in contactless module, contactless inlays, or passport covers.
